Ph.D. Openings

The Center is actively looking for highly self-motivated students at Ph.D. level (PhD will be fully funded with tuition waiver and stipend). A successful candidate is expected to conduct research on one or multiple subjects in the areas of cybersecurity, machine learning and wireless networking for emerging networked systems including cyber-physical systems, Internet-of-Things, smart cities, software defined systems and vehicular networks, and applied math (e.g., optimization, queuing, game theory, etc.). A preferred candidate is expected to meet the following criteria:

Earned MS degree in ECE, CS, or a relevant area.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Graduate school admission criteria of Howard University.

A solid background in any of the following subjects is a plus: cybersecurity, machine learning and wireless networking for emerging networked systems including cyber-physical systems, Internet-of-Things, smart cities, software defined systems and vehicular networks, and applied math (e.g., optimization, queuing, game theory, etc.) and named data networks.

Postdoc, Visiting Scholar/Student Opportunity

The Center is also looking for postdoctoral researchers and visiting scholars to join our research lab. We welcome visiting scholars/professors/postdocs to collaborate in research projects of our mutual research interests.
